It was interesting. I wasn't expecting a great deal from it since the group hasn't performed a ritual together before, and because the ritual was freshly written just for the group. In addition, I forgot to bring the incense, and we had no altar or quarter-stations. Some idiot left their cell phone on and it kept on ringing and beeping until someone else politely told them to shove it up their ass. In spite of these things, I feel we were able to pull together quite an interesting ritual, and it seemed quite effective.

We used chairs at each quarter to hold the symbols, and a coffee-cart as the central altar. There was a pagan group upstairs who was happy to give us a cone of their incense. It all left something to be desired aesthetically, but it all worked out in the end.

I have to say that I'm really excited to see where the study group will go in the future. It's really satisfying and motivating to know people who have a common interest in the study and in the practice!

So with all the talk about the Equinox, it's obvious that spring has sprung. Saturday was a beautiful Seattle day -- sunshine, sixty-some degrees, the cherry trees and everything else in full blossom or bud. I ventured out of the house to rake the leaves up from the yard and to work on a project. I bought some chocolates using my environmentally friendly car that only uses bio diesel. I felt like a good person. By the time the day was done, my back was *so* sore, but it was a *good* sore. It was a very content soreness that you get after you do things you've been putting off all winter, and after you've gotten a good dose of fresh air and sunlight vitamin D.

Of course, it's been raining ever since. ;-)
